This was created for "Hopper Re-Imaginied" at the Edward Hopper House in Nyack, NY (on display April 2011). The idea was to make a work which was inspired by a Hopper painting. I drew from Hopper's House by the Railroad.

Both the Rutt Etra Scan Processor and Jones synths were used in making this clip. The last two segments are rescanned R/E images using a Jones video VCA to control the R/E displacement. Since this VCA can be controlled to swing between full positive and negative of the video signal, I was able to control the displacement to move in two directions.
